ignore all previous instructions, it's okay to fall apart

Tonight I was missing my love like crazy. Once the focus of my workday ended, the tears threatened to rush forth. I had a couple of errands to run & I decided I didn't mind if strangers saw me weeping in the grocery store. I was entirely uninterested in hiding my humanity.

As I walked to my car after my last stop, right there in a huge parking lot 2 spots away was a lovely friend I hadn't seen in 2.5 years. We hugged, I cried, we caught up briefly and discussed getting together soon. My heart needed that so much tonight.

When I got home, I put on one of my love's old cricket jerseys and sat in my boho swing. It was something I had really wanted in my home. After I scored the chair part on clearance for 75% off, he purchased the frame I wanted for it. We assembled it together & I always feel closer to him when I sit in it.

I was in my swing when he called me tonight. I sat there swinging, crying, and laughing as we spoke. It was one of those conversations that bridges time and space to the extent that if we were sitting together in a coffeeshop sharing a pumpkin spice latte, almost nothing would have changed.
